AARP The Magazine recently commissioned me to illustrate an article about how flu shots can reduce the risk of heart disease. The art director already had a concept in mind that they wanted illustrated (though this is an alternative version - the original heart design had an additional smiling face motif). I have to admit that I’ve never been asked to illustrate vaccination in a “warm and inviting” way before but hopefully I achieved this!

Cayetano De Arquer Buigas
and his favourite part of a woman’s body.

Cayetano de Arquer Buigas is a self-trained Spanish artist whose work has been seen in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Europe since 1968. He doesn’t want to belong to any special artistic movement, he likes to paint as he lives.

The artist has a wide range of themes, but his favorite topic has always been the female figure, particularly woman’s neck and back. He usually chooses his relatives and friends as models.
